Erickson-Hall provided Design-Build services for a new single-story, 39,600 SF building for the California Highway Patrol. The building is arranged in an “L” shaped configuration on a 5-acre site. The two wings that form the building footprint are narrow sections bisected by double-loaded corridors allowing an efficient circulation arrangement within the building. Interior finishes are low maintenance with carpet tiles in all office areas and exposed polished concrete in most all of the shared spaces and corridors. CMU shear walls within the building are left exposed and the same color banding that occurs on the exterior also occurs within interior areas of the building. The scope of work included an auto services building, a radio vault building, a vehicle fueling area, and a 148’ tall communication tower.
