Los Angeles, CA – Erickson-Hall Construction Co., in collaboration with Wiseburn Unified School District, is thrilled to announce the completion of the Wiseburn Sports Complex. On Friday, April 24, leaders from Erickson-Hall, District Officials, school staff and community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this important milestone.
The comprehensive project is a significant advancement for Wiseburn Unified School District’s athletic program, serving as a vital hub for student-athletes to foster teamwork and achieve excellence. The multi-use facility will also act as a cornerstone for the broader community, hosting soccer matches, softball games and Little League events for athletes of all ages.
“At Wiseburn, we like to say that our playfields are our largest classrooms — and this complex is the finest one we have ever built. This is where our students will learn to compete, collaborate, push through adversity and discover what they are capable of. That is exactly what we ask of them inside our schools every day, and now they have a world-class space to do it outside as well. We are grateful to our community for their trust through Measure EE, and to Erickson-Hall Construction for their commitment to bringing this vision to life with the care and quality our kids deserve,” said Dr. Blake Silvers, Superintendent, Wiseburn Unified School District.
The project focused on transforming the site into a multi-use athletic space designed to support a wide range of sports and community activities. Professional-grade fields were constructed for Little League Baseball, NFHS Softball and Youth Soccer, alongside new dugouts, batting cages, sports lighting and scoreboards. To enhance the spectator experience, the facility features upgraded parking, modern restrooms and a concession building equipped with a warming kitchen and storage. The fully integrated complex also includes underground utilities, irrigation, fencing, low-voltage systems and a new janitorial closet.
“We are honored to work alongside Wiseburn Unified School District in transforming this space into a cornerstone for community sports and student growth,” said Mat Gates, President of Erickson-Hall Construction Co. “We know this space will serve as a lasting resource and enrich the lives of both student-athletes and the entire community.”
