Los Alamitos, CA (October 29, 2024) – Erickson-Hall Construction Co., in partnership with Los Alamitos Unified School District, hosted a topping-out ceremony on Oct. 23 to celebrate the final stage of structure construction on the Los Alamitos High School Gymnasium.
An important project milestone, the ceremony brought together the construction team and District leaders to recognize the craftsmanship, dedication and collective effort that made this achievement possible. During the ceremony, attendees signed the final beam before it was raised into place.
“This topping-out ceremony marks a significant milestone, not just for the gymnasium project, but for our entire Los Alamitos community,” shared Dr. Andrew Pulver, Superintendent of Los Alamitos Unified School District. “The new gymnasium embodies our commitment to building and creating spaces where our students can thrive and explore unlimited possibilities, both academically and athletically. We are grateful for our partnership with Erickson-Hall Construction Co. and look forward to the lasting impact this facility will have on our Griffins and our community for generations to come.”
The new 33,362-square-foot, tilt-up gymnasium will house three basketball courts with home and visiting bleachers, a concession room, team rooms, restrooms, a weight room with outdoor fitness areas and exterior hardscape improvements. After breaking ground in March 2024, the project is slated for completion in July 2025.
