Norwalk, CA (December 4, 2024)– Erickson-Hall Construction Co. is proud to announce the completion of Norwalk High School’s new Athletic Facility, a major milestone for students, staff and the entire community. On Dec. 3, Erickson-Hall and Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the state-of-the-art complex to the community. Over 500 students, families and the larger community attended the ceremony.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate the completion of this world-class athletic complex, a project that truly reflects our commitment to our current and future students,” said Estuardo Santillan, Interim Superintendent of Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. “This facility will provide students and families with a space to thrive, stay active and achieve their aspirations for generations to come. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Erickson-Hall for their partnership in turning this vision into a reality.”

The 43,000 square-foot athletic facility contains a gymnasium, dance and cheer rooms, wrestling and weight rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and auxiliary spaces. The building is the final element of Norwalk High School’s new athletic complex, which includes surrounding fields and a stadium that opened in October 2024. Community support played a vital role in bringing this transformative project to fruition. In 2014, the voters passed Measure G, a $375 million education bond that funded the new complex.

“Collaborating with Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District on this project has been an honor,” said Mat Gates, President of Erickson-Hall Construction Co. “This new athletic facility underscores our shared commitment to creating exceptional spaces that empower students to reach their full potential, both on and off the field. We’re thrilled to celebrate this achievement with the Norwalk community.”
