Duarte, CA — Erickson-Hall Construction Company proudly joined Duarte Unified School District, students, alumni and community members on Sept. 20 to celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new Duarte High School Sports Complex, a transformative project that redefines the athletic experience for the Duarte community.

The project included construction management for the new Kenneth M. Bell Gymnasium and six new tennis courts with concrete stadium seating. The 31,000-square-foot gymnasium features a barrel roof and is designed to the highest standards of quality, functionality and innovation. Key features include:

  • Seating for over 1,300 spectators, two large-format projectors with automatic screens and a professional-grade sound system.
  • Comprehensive athletic support spaces including a weight room, team rooms with interactive displays and lockers, storage areas with roll-up doors and restroom facilities.
  • A second-floor wrestling/dance room with full-height windows and balcony overlooking the main court.
  • An inviting entry lobby with a wood ceiling, pendant lighting, trophy cases, concession stand and full-height windows overlooking the basketball court.
  • Exterior upgrades including EV charging stations, synthetic turf areas, a donor courtyard and new bus drop-off zones.
