
Chula Vista, CA — On February 9, Erickson-Hall Construction Co., in partnership with the City of Chula Vista, celebrated the groundbreaking of the Chula Vista Fire Station #12. The City has experienced significant growth and new developments in recent years, increasing the need for enhanced emergency response capabilities to maintain public safety standards. This essential facility will significantly expand Chula Vista’s capacity to provide critical emergency services and support long-term public safety efforts.
“This project reflects our continued commitment to meeting the growing needs of our community,” said Diana Bauer, Associate Engineer. “The new facility will help our crews work more effectively, improve emergency response times and strengthen services throughout the area. We are grateful to Erickson-Hall Construction Co. for their expertise and collaborative approach throughout this process.”
The station is thoughtfully designed to expand training areas and support the day-to-day work of the firefighters. The site will include sixteen dorms, six restrooms with showers, three private offices, a kitchen, a day room, a storage area, a laundry room and a fitness room. A bay structure will also be built to accommodate one engine, one reserve engine, one truck, one reserve truck, one battalion chief command vehicle and two transport ambulances.
