San Diego, CA — Erickson-Hall Construction Co., in partnership with San Diego Unified School District, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 15 to celebrate the completion of major campus improvements at America’s Finest Charter School.
The event marked the official unveiling of Building 100, a key milestone in the $32 million, multi-phase redevelopment project designed to transform the school into a modern and dynamic learning environment for students from kindergarten to middle school. Building 100 encompasses a new two-story, 24,793-square-foot elementary school building, with a 7,598-square-foot multi-purpose room.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together district leaders, school staff, students, families and community members to celebrate the school’s new state-of-the-art facilities and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in its history.
“America’s Finest Charter School is a powerful example of what happens when vision, planning and execution align,” said Mat Gates, President of Erickson-Hall Construction Co. “This campus is built to inspire learning, strengthen community and deliver lasting value for generations.”
Erickson-Hall continues its work on the project, including the construction of Building 200 for middle school students, a new kindergarten playground, refreshed upper and lower playing fields and site upgrades, such as a new parking lot, turf field and welcoming outdoor spaces.
