Yucaipa, CA (February 2, 2024) – Erickson-Hall Construction Co. is proud to announce the opening of the Crafton Hills College BL 20 Public Safety Training Center. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on January 12, 2024. The project, commissioned by the San Bernardino Community College District, will serve as a vital training facility for aspiring firefighters and enhance public safety education within the region.
“The enhancement of technical training capabilities for fire and emergency medical services programs that the new Public Safety Training Center provides will have a significant positive impact on the first responder community,” mentioned President of Crafton Hills College Dr. Kevin Horan. “The collaboration with Erickson-Hall and their experience in working with college campuses and safety center construction played a crucial role in creating a state-of-the-art facility that will benefit public safety for our students and community partners.”
The Crafton Hills College BL 20 Public Safety Training Center project encompasses the design and development of two specialized fire training structures, with a combined total of 6,848 square feet, located onsite at Crafton Hills College. These structures have been designed to meet the requirements of the fire academy, providing a state-of-the-art training environment for cadets pursuing certification as firefighters.
To ensure minimal disruption to campus activities, the buildings are strategically sized and arranged within the existing parking lot, which will help minimize the loss of parking stalls. This thoughtful approach to design not only optimizes space utilization but also ensures that Crafton Hills College can continue to meet the needs of its students, faculty and staff.
Erickson-Hall Construction Co. brings experience and expertise to this project, having successfully completed numerous educational and public safety construction projects throughout Southern California. The company is committed to delivering a high-quality training center that meets the needs of Crafton Hills College and the San Bernardino Community College District.
“Our team enjoyed collaborating with the San Bernardino Community College District and Crafton Hills College to create a facility that will play a pivotal role in preparing the next generation of firefighters,” said President of Erickson-Hall, Mat Gates. “We are dedicated to delivering projects that meet the client’s standards as well as serve communities for years to come. This new BL 20 Public Safety Training Center allowed us to accomplish both of those and we are extremely excited about the outcome.”
The ribbon cutting of the Crafton Hills College BL 20 Public Safety Training Center signifies another milestone in Erickson-Hall’s commitment to public safety and education within the San Bernardino region.
