Beverly Hills, CA — Erickson-Hall Construction Co., in partnership with the Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD), recently celebrated the completion of the Upper Athletic Fields at Beverly Hills High School. This project marks a significant milestone in a multi-phase, multi-million-dollar district transformation dedicated to modernizing campus infrastructure and elevating community facilities.
The new Upper Athletic Fields are more than a standalone upgrade; they are a critical piece of a larger effort to enhance aging infrastructure while maintaining the district’s historic character. BHUSD serves approximately 3,300 students and is a recognized leader in academic and creative achievement. To provide modern spaces that reflect this long-standing reputation for success, the district enlisted Erickson-Hall to play a key role in the campus-wide transformation. By modernizing the campus’s recreational infrastructure, Erickson-Hall helped deliver a lasting resource that will serve both current and future generations of students.
“These new athletic facilities reflect our commitment to providing students with the environment they need to excel and reach their full potential,” said Will Karrat, Executive Director of Construction Services at Beverly Hills Unified School District. “We are proud to partner with Erickson-Hall. Their expertise was instrumental in transforming our vision into high-quality athletic spaces that serve as a permanent cornerstone for the school community.”
Erickson-Hall delivered the project using a design-build approach, which included the construction of new tennis courts, a softball field, a permanent modular restroom building, retaining walls and athletic field lighting. The scope also encompassed extensive site work and utility improvements to ensure the facility is both functional and built to serve long-term needs.
“These upgraded athletic fields provide a dynamic environment where student-athletes can develop their skills, build teamwork and compete at a high level,” said Mat Gates, President of Erickson-Hall Construction Co. “We are honored to partner with Beverly Hills Unified School District on a transformative project that will have a lasting impact on students and the broader community for years to come.”
By delivering these state-of-the-art fields, Erickson-Hall is helping lay the groundwork for the district’s larger transformative vision, ensuring every part of the campus supports student success and strengthens the local community.
