Fallbrook, CA On November 19, Erickson-Hall Construction Co., in partnership with the North County Fire Protection District, celebrated the opening of its newly renovated and expanded Fire Station No. 3. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, bringing together fire officials and community members.

Fire Station No. 3 underwent a comprehensive transformation that reimagined the existing 5,255 square-foot station and introduced a new 1,650 square-foot Dozer Barn designed to support Cal Fire operations. Positioned in a wildfire-prone area, the updated facility reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to strengthening emergency response services for the Fallbrook community and the surrounding region.

The upgraded station now provides firefighters with an improved and modern work environment, featuring four dorm rooms, three restrooms, a spacious kitchen/dining/day room, gym, welcoming lobby, two office spaces and two vehicle apparatus bays. The addition of a refueling site and emergency generator ensures the station can remain fully operational during emergencies, power outages and large-scale incidents. Enhancements to the surrounding property included new landscaping, as well as a rolling gate and secure fencing along the rear of the site to support safety and operational flow.

“This modernized station allows our crews to work, train and respond in a space built for the realities of contemporary fire service,” said Keith McReynolds, Fire Chief/CEO at North County Fire Protection District. “Erickson-Hall’s collaboration and attention to detail ensured the finished facility reflects our priorities for safety, functionality and long-term service to the community.”

Fire Station No. 3 will have a daily crew consisting of a Captain, Engineer and Firefighter who are all certified paramedics. It will operate both a structure/paramedic assessment engine and a firefighting brush engine.

“We approached this project with a commitment to building a station that fully supports the needs of today’s firefighters while preparing for the demands of tomorrow,” said Mat Gates, President of Erickson-Hall Construction Co. “Our team is excited to deliver a facility that enhances efficiency, comfort and readiness for the dedicated personnel who protect this community.”

Erickson-Hall continues to partner with public safety agencies across the region to construct and revitalize these essential facilities. The completion of Fire Station No. 3 showcases the company’s commitment to delivering thoughtful, community-centered projects that support the essential work of first responders.
