Erickson-Hall Construction Co. has completed modernization work at El Cajon Valley High School.
The Escondido-based contractor's work consisted of expanding the school’s 54-year-old welding building by adding a new classroom and instructional lab, along with increasing the special education suites with modernized classrooms. Additional restrooms were also added to the building.
A total of 16,866 square feet was improved on the $3.6 million modernization project.
The project was made possible by Proposition 1D, a grant that funded the welding classrooms, and Proposition U, a bond that paid for the special education areas.
The design team on the project consisted of Sprotte + Watson Architecture and Planning, and landscape architect George Mercer.
Project engineers included Wiseman and Rohy, structural engineers; Cherry Engineering, civil engineers; Turpin and Rattan, electrical engineers; and Marick and Associates, mechanical engineers.
