November 30, 2007

The 2007 Associated General Contractors (AGC) annual Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) winners include I.E. Pacific Inc., Barnhart Inc. and Roel Construction.

Erickson-Hall Construction Co. won first place in the Municipal Division. J.R. Filanc Construction and TC Construction took home CSEA awards for the Heavy Division.

Dynalectric and Helix Electric won the Specialty Division, and FCI won first place for the Highway Division.

All nine of the AGC CSEA winners will now compete on a National level in early 2008, vying for the title of the 2007 CSEA Grand Award Winner.

The 2006 Grand Award Winner was Ohio-based Kokosing Construction Company.

The CSEA has been an ongoing and evolving effort by the AGC of America to recognize companies who have developed and implemented excellent safety and loss prevention programs achieved through management commitment, employee training and program innovation.

Judges look for evidence of company management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, as well as safety program innovation.
