Project Name: James Day Middle School Modernization

Erickson-Hall Construction Company is the Construction Manager for the above referenced project. All Contracts will be 

between the Owner (Temecula Valley Unified School District) and the Prime Trade Contractor.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid "Job Walk" is scheduled for February 20, 2019 at 3:15 PM at 40775 Camino Camos Verde Temecula, CA 92591. Meeting location is front entrance of school, at the flagpole. This will be the only scheduled job walk 

and is non mandatory. Additional site visits can be scheduled direct with the District's Construction Manager, Erickson-Hall Construction Company. The purpose of this walk is for bidders to familiarize themselves with existing conditions and 

James Day Middle School. No interpretations or clarification of contract documents will be made at this time. The bid 

documents require all bidders to familiarize themselves with campus prior to bidding.

Bid Packages 1 and 3 are required to be prequalified with the District in order to bid on the project.  The prequalification 

process for this project is ongoing currently and will remain open until March 1, 2019, noted with special emphasis that complete prequalification packages must be submitted timely.  At which time no further prequalification packages can 

be accepted for this project.  For questions related to this prequalification process, the forms, or the prequalified list, 

please note the TVUSD web page at Facilities Development for information and link to Quality Bidders, the District’s

Prequalification)  Bids received from companies not on the prequalified list will be returned unopened to the bidders. If this project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing (MEP) subcontractors 

(Contractors that hold C4, C7, C10, C16, C20, C34, C36, C38, C42, C43, C46) such MEP CONTRACTORS must also be 

prequalified.  It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that all MEP subcontractors holding any of the licenses listed 

above are properly prequalified before submitting a bid. 

Subcontractors must comply with SB-693 - Skilled and Trained Workforce

If this project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing (MEP) subcontractors

Each bid shall be accompanies by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to the DISTRICT as a guarantee that the bidder, if its proposal is accepteed, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish a satisfactory Faithful Performance Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, furnish a Payment Bond in an amount not less than one-hundred (100%) of the total bid price, and furnish certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the general conditions. In the event of failure to enter into the contract and execute the required documents, such bid secureity will be forfeited. The Faithful Performance Bod shall remain in full force and effect through the guarantee period as specified in the general conditions. For contractors awarded in excess of $25,000.00 the successful bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Faithfull Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond as stated above, prior to execution of the contract and shall be in the form set forh in the Contract Documents.
